BEING BAD TO DO GOOD 😈💫

is a weekly devotional to the Dark Feminine, in Her many varied forms, and Her decolonial feminist calls-to-action. It is a study of Indigenous Wisdom and a collection of spells & rituals (practice) that heal us mind-body-spirit, self-collective-planet.

My hope through this project is to inspire ancestral healing, cross-cultural connection, and collective liberation.

THE MANIFESTO

This project emerged from my spiritual awakening or realization that the Goddess, the Earth, and the Body are inextricably linked and are keys to a decolonial and liberatory politic.

Here at

, I’ve written through my Dark Night of the Soul. I’ve come to terms with accidentally spiritually awakening from my yoga practice and resulting encounters with the Dark Feminine. I’ve tried to spin words around the meaning of suffering and pain.

Through these experiences and writings, I’ve come to the conclusion that

  1. The reckless violence and growing inflammation of our globe is fueled by our collective disembodiment

  2. Collective liberation requires Mind-Body-Planet alignment and healing our Ancestral/Collective traumas

  3. The path to healing these interlocking complex traumas is through the Body, the Earth, and the Goddess

Thankfully, Indigenous Wisdom provide us with stories, symbols, rituals, lessons, and so much more to draw from. While I am deeply rooted in the study and practice of my own ancestral wisdom traditions (Yoga, Tantra, Ayurveda), I am a scholar of the many Indigenous Wisdom practices from around the world. I’m fascinated by the deep connections across these ancient blueprints for modern liberatory living.

Ancient ways of living centered around the Earth, or the Goddess. In the beginning (and for most of human history) God was a Woman.

So here I also turn to the mythology and psychology of the pantheon of Dark Goddesses in their many varied forms. I’ve written at length about Kali and I did a series on a few of my favorites - Baba Yaga, Persephone, Ixchel, Oya, Sekhmet.

In the continued evolution of this project, I’m committed to exploring the many, many faces of THE RADICAL BADDIE and unveiling my own 👹
